OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Our occupational therapist works closely with our senior and adult participants to help them engage in the activities they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday tasks, known as occupations. This approach empowers individuals of all ages to live life to the fullest by promoting health, preventing complications, and improving the ability to manage or live with injury, illness, or disability.

Occupational therapy interventions are diverse and tailored to each participant's needs. Common services include:

  • Assisting individuals with disabilities to fully participate in daily life, whether at home or in social settings.
  • Helping those recovering from injury regain essential skills and independence.
  • Providing support and strategies for older adults experiencing physical or cognitive changes.

Our occupational therapy services typically include:

  • Individualized Evaluation: A collaborative process where the client, their family, and the occupational therapist identify specific goals and needs.
  • Customized Interventions: Targeted strategies and exercises designed to enhance the participant's ability to perform daily activities and achieve their goals.
  • Outcomes Evaluation: Regular assessments to ensure that goals are being met, with adjustments made to the intervention plan as needed.

Occupational therapy practitioners at our center take a holistic approach, focusing on adapting the environment or task to fit the individual's needs. Participants are viewed as active members of the therapy team, with their input and preferences guiding the care they receive. Our practice is evidence-based and grounded in the latest scientific research, ensuring that our participants receive the highest standard of care.
